St. Moritz, Suvretta and the Engadine

When God had a particularly good day

Anyone visiting the Engadine for the first time might think that the world architect's cornucopia has slipped here. Nature is so magnificent, the landscape so diverse, with glacier-covered peaks, tree-covered slopes, lush green valleys, clear mountain lakes and idyllic villages all vying for the viewer's favour. It is therefore no coincidence that St. Moritz is the preferred summer and winter retreat of well-heeled visitors from all over the world.

Another 170 metres above the town, which is situated at an altitude of 1,800 metres and where the sun shines on more than 300 days a year, the Randolins St. Moritz (Switzerland) offers the opportunity to get a bird's eye view of this unique natural spectacle.

In winter, the Corviglia ski area invites you to ski and snowboard in the best conditions. If this is not enough, you can also let off steam on the nearby ski slopes of Corvatsch and Diavolezza. In summer, climbers, bikers and hikers will find fantastic opportunities here. Around the high valley where the Inn River originates, some of the most famous peaks of the Eastern Alps reach for the sky - among them the Bernina, over 4000 metres high, to which the famous "Bernina Express" - the "slowest express train in the world" running over serpentines and viaducts - owes its name. Another section of the Rhaetian Railway runs between St. Moritz and Chur and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site as an architectural masterpiece.

Just as varied as the climate and nature are the numerous summer leisure and sporting opportunities: Running, golfing, water sports, cycling, climbing, equestrian sports, kite surfing, windsurfing, sailing are popular and numerous providers in the region offer courses and equipment. In winter, all white sports dominate - incl. cross-country skiing. Many professional athletes come to St. Moritz to train at altitude in preparation for competitions, and the village repeatedly hosts international winter sports events and world championships (including the legendary Engadin Skimarathon).

By the way: we offer hikers and mountain bikers a very special service: In addition to free map material, we also provide bikes or e-bikes, hiking backpacks and all the equipment for a small rental fee.
